Reolink RLC-811A
PoE / Ethernet
Wired PoE model in Reolink’s RTSP-capable camera family; a candidate for continuous streaming via Bridge.
What to expect
A wired RTSP camera avoids the battery and manufacturer-cloud restrictions often found on mobile-network wildlife cameras.
Before you begin
- Use a compatible PoE injector or PoE switch.
- Keep the camera and local connection equipment on a secured network.
- Confirm RTSP access for the camera’s installed firmware.
Setup instructions
- Initialize the camera in the Reolink client.
- Enable the RTSP service in the camera’s advanced network/server settings.
- Test the local RTSP feed using VLC or ffprobe.
- Configure a secure outbound connection once WildWorld Bridge provisioning is available.
- Until then, independently send the feed to a public YouTube livestream and submit the link to WildWorld.
Important limitations and safety
- Confirm exact firmware and codec support before buying any equipment.
- Never share your camera password or RTSP URL in the public camera submission form.
Manufacturer instructions
Official manufacturer material; menu names and features may differ depending on firmware. Check compatibility before purchasing.
