RTSP → bridge candidate

Reolink RLC-810A

PoE / Ethernet

RTSP-capable wired IP camera. A candidate for WildWorld’s upcoming managed connection service.

What to expect

A PoE camera with an always-on local network is a practical choice for continuous wildlife streaming. Model and firmware should still be checked before installation.

Before you begin

  • Power the camera using a compatible PoE switch or injector.
  • Keep the camera and its local connection device on the same trusted network.
  • Use a dedicated camera account and keep its password private.

Setup instructions

  1. Configure the camera in the Reolink app or Client and update firmware.
  2. Enable RTSP in Device Settings → Network → Advanced → Server Settings; availability and menu labels depend on firmware.
  3. Verify that an RTSP video stream is accessible only from the local network using VLC or ffprobe.
  4. If using a future WildWorld Bridge installation, its local agent will test video/audio, then use a protected connection to our streaming service.
  5. Submit a public YouTube live URL through Add a camera until Bridge is launched.

Important limitations and safety

  • The Bridge service is still in development, so this listing does not mean automatic WildWorld ingestion is available today.
  • Do not forward camera RTSP ports to the public internet.
